Ci siamo spremuti le meningi… per trovarle un regalo adatto all’occasione… ed ecco… a distanza di 20 anni dai grandi successi dakariani porteremo la Nostra Africa, a corre nuovamente in una competizione di livello internazionale!
Ed eccoci qui, a poche settimane dall’evento!
Il 22 maggio partiremo con altre 35 mitiche Africa Twin del Motoclub Africa Twin Italia alla volta dell’ErzbergRodeo XIV in Austria.
Sarà incredibile salire la montagna insieme (dietro…anni luce dietro 
)a piloti del calibro di Giovanni Sala, David Knight, Trevis Pastrana ecc…
Fantastico… non vedo l’ora di essere la, è il coronamento di un sogno, fino a quando non sarò inpiedi sulla mia mitica RD03 sulla salita che porta in cima alla montagna di ferro (Iron Road) non ci crederò fino in fondo.

Erzbergrodeo 2008 – Bigger, better and faster than ever!
Even more thrilling side events, a bigger and more sophisticated event area and a “new and improved” IRON ROAD PROLOGUE now featuring a tabletop jump 180m after the start as well as an acceleration measurement in order to crown the “Holeshot King” before the very eyes of 30.000 spectators. The Iron Road Prologue – a freak show in its very own right! Side cars, Scooters, Quads, Harleys, Buells, Fireblades; no one can resist the call of the Erzberg. Watch 1500 bikers fight their way to the summit on a gravel road up to 30m wide. But no matter what, this race has its secret heroes: The Desert Bombers. Big twin cylinder bikes roaring up to the Erzberg’s peak, annihilating competition as well as race records. Do not miss the excitement of watching 250kg+ bikes in 185km/h high speed drifts.
Red Bull Hare Scramble
1500 – 500 – ?? Last year, a meager 21 riders had reached the last checkpoint after four hours of fight and exhaustion. Every year, 500 hopefuls gather on Sunday at high noon, but natural selection has rarely been crueler. How many of them will be able to defy the challenges of the toughest single race in the whole Enduro world? And how many nameless warriors will get shipwrecked? Bruised and battered but unbent and unbroken! You’ll find them in the grid again next year. To take up the challenge one more time. The challenge of the Erzberg.
Rodeo-X Endurocross
300 riders fight for top honours. From Thursday to Saturday evening – final heat by floodlight! This competition turned out to be one of the most popular side events of the Erzbergrodeo. Rodeo-X Endurocross combines MX, Enduro and Trial in a very unique and attractive way – and the racetrack is located right in front of the big festival tent!
FREESTYLE-MOTOCROSS PARTY 2008
Gravity s****! The FMX-Party is one of the spectacular highlights at the Erzbergrodeo. We’ll do nothing more than a little name dropping: Ronnie Renner (USA), Mat Rebeaud (CH), Martin Koren (CZ), Alvaro dal Farra (ITA), Nick de Wit (RSA), Chris Birch (UK), Gilles Dejong (BEL), Vanni Oddera (ITA), Steven Stuyven (BEL), Björn van den Broeck (BEL) and last but not least Jimmy Verburgh (BEL)

Erzbergrodeo 2008 – Più grande, migliore e più veloce che mai!
Eventi di contorno ancora più entusiasmanti, un’area manifestazioni più grande e più sofisticata ed un “nuovo e migliorato” IRON ROAD PROLOGUE adesso con un salto a panettone 180 metri dopo la partenza ed anche una misurazione dell’accelerazione per incoronare il “Re del Holeshot” davanti agli occhi di 30.000 spettatori. L’Iron Road Prologue – un evento pazzo di diritto! Sidecar, scooter, Quad, Harley, Buell, Fireblade; nessuno resiste al richiamo dell’Erzberg. Osserva 1500 piloti che combattono per arrivare in cima ad una sterrata larga fino a 30 metri. Ma comunque questa gara ha i suoi eroi: I Bombardoni del Deserto. Grandi moto bicilindriche che ruggiscono fino alla sommità dell’Erzberg, frantumando la concorrenza e i record di gara. Non perdere l’emozione di guardare moto da 250 kg+ che derapano a 185 km/h.
Red Bull Hare Scramble
1500 – 500 – ?? L’anno scorso, solo 21 piloti hanno raggiunto l’ultimo checkpoint dopo ore di lotta e sfinimento. Ogni anno, 500 speranzosi si radunano la domenica dopo mezzogiorno, ma la selezione naturale raramente è stata più crudele. Quanti di essi riusciranno a schivare le sfide della singola gara di enduro più difficile al mondo? E quanti guerrieri senza nome faranno naufragio? Feriti e ammaccati, ma non piegati né rotti! Li troverete ancora in griglia l’anno prossimo. Per raccogliere ancora una volta il guanto di sfida. La sfida dell’Erzberg.
Rodeo-X Endurocross
300 piloti lottano per il premio finale. Da giovedì a sabato sera – l’ultima manche sotto la luce artificiale! Questa competizione si è rivelata essere uno degli eventi di contorno più popolari dell’Erzbergrodeo. Rodeo-X Endurocross combina MX, enduro e trial in modo unico e attraente – e la pista è situata proprio davanti al grande tendone centrale!
FREESTYLE-MOTOCROSS PARTY 2008
La forza di gravità fa ca…re! Il party FMX è uno degli highlight più spettacolari all’Erzbergrodeo.
